Aaliyah 4 years old

It's been so long since I last posted! It's about time I get everyone caught up on what I have been up to!

This photo shoot I actually did over the summer (yeah its been that long!) As most of you have caught on by now, Aaliyah is my niece so clearly I'm a little biased when I say she is the cutest kid I have ever seen. We did these photos on West Haven beach, we ventured out onto the jetty and then into some tall grass. Her first outfit and the setting gave the images a fairytale type feel! She is growing up into such a beautiful little girl and I absolutely love watching it through my camera lens!

Austin and Becca

Spring is here and love is in the air!! Yesterday I had the pleasure to photograph two very good friends of mine, Austin and Becca. We met up in Wallingford at PNA Park, then moved on to some nearby train tracks to snap a few shots, we even took advantage of the parking lot we had parked in for a more urban feel as well. These two were so much fun to photograph, but I think Austin had more fun posing Becca in front of his Cadillac!! All in all Im excited with how these photos came out and I hope they like them as much as I do! This is a great couple, who are crazy about each other which was clearly seen through my camera lens! 

Kayla, Scott and Lily!

Like I mentioned in my last post, I had done some fall sessions and have been trying to get them up here. So this one is another family session I did for Kayla and Scott and their little baby girl Lily, who is now 6 months old... look back on (Kayla and Scotts pregnancy session) here! This shoot was really fun, we went to Scott's family's farm in Glastonbury, where we took advantage of the last few hours of the fall leaves before hurricane Sandy hit Connecticut. The morning was a little threatening with a few raindrops here and there and the wind picking up, but we made it work and I absolutely love how the photos came out! Such a cute family!!

Aaliyah's Fall Photos!

Hey everyone! I know its been a while since I last posted anything, school is back in session and my life is pure chaos as usual! But during the peak of the fall season I got to squeeze in a few family sessions! 

This particular session was my own personal family, My big brother Justin, his Fiance Rebecca and their daughter, my niece, Aaliyah. I just recently did her 3 year old photos in the spring, and its amazing to see how fast she is growing! She loves to pose herself and smile big and say "cheese" for me! We had such a beautiful day at Lyman Orchards feeding the ducks, playing in the leaves, and picking pumpkins! A perfect fall day!

Brian and Cheril's wedding!!

So this blog is LONG overdue. Back in June I attended my cousins wedding and also had the pleasure of photographing the ceremony and the important parts of the reception. Im extremely happy with how these photos came out because well for one thing, anyone who knows me knows I LOVE weddings, and it was very near and dear to myself to be capturing a big moment happening in my family! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!!

Broken and Beautiful 3

Well, its that time again when all the college students begin to cram and stress...FINALS!! and I am no different. So I really needed a few more shots to complete my independent study "broken and beautiful" which you all have seen me posting. I was at a loss for a female model so I decided to just use myself for this one, I packed up my tripod, and gave my boyfriend some serious puppy eyes for an extra set of hands and it was off to some locations. I brought Kyle along because I was wearing heals, and usually I just set a timer and run into the shot, but I didn't want to end the day with a broken ankle so basically I got it all set up to my liking, took some test shots and said "okay push the button" So heres the final additions to my Broken and Beautiful project, although I think I'm going to continue it for next years shows with some new photos from over the summer. ENJOY! :)

Kayla and Scott Pregnancy

This was my first maternity shoot and I was lucky enough for it to be with my good friend Kayla. She was about 34 weeks and is due any time now!! I had a lot of fun working with her and Scott, they were very open to my experimenting and ideas. The only things they absolutely had to have was some shots with their other two loves....Scott's dirt bikes, and Kayla's horse. I am really happy with the way these photos came out and look forward to photographing the little bundle of joy....(oh yeah, did I mention the sex of the baby is a surprise?? Can't wait to find out!!)
