Well, its that time again when all the college students begin to cram and stress...FINALS!! and I am no different. So I really needed a few more shots to complete my independent study "broken and beautiful" which you all have seen me posting. I was at a loss for a female model so I decided to just use myself for this one, I packed up my tripod, and gave my boyfriend some serious puppy eyes for an extra set of hands and it was off to some locations. I brought Kyle along because I was wearing heals, and usually I just set a timer and run into the shot, but I didn't want to end the day with a broken ankle so basically I got it all set up to my liking, took some test shots and said "okay push the button" So heres the final additions to my Broken and Beautiful project, although I think I'm going to continue it for next years shows with some new photos from over the summer. ENJOY! :)

Kayla and Scott Pregnancy
This was my first maternity shoot and I was lucky enough for it to be with my good friend Kayla. She was about 34 weeks and is due any time now!! I had a lot of fun working with her and Scott, they were very open to my experimenting and ideas. The only things they absolutely had to have was some shots with their other two loves....Scott's dirt bikes, and Kayla's horse. I am really happy with the way these photos came out and look forward to photographing the little bundle of joy....(oh yeah, did I mention the sex of the baby is a surprise?? Can't wait to find out!!)

Broken and Beautiful Session 2
This was my first time photographing another photographer. Nicole is a fellow Paier college of art student and she was such a great model for this project! She crawled through cobwebs and into the rafters of this bridge just to make the shots a little more dynamic and unique! I personally love the contrast of this pretty, dolled up girl and the underneath of the bridge with all the bright graffiti art.

Aaliyah 3 years old.
I had the pleasure of taking my beautiful niece's 3 year old photos. I have been photographing Aaliyah since the day she was born, I always said she would know her auntie as the lady with the camera shoved in her face, but now she has become such a little ham. She was posing herself, and saying "cheese" for every photo! We started off at Red Bridge in Meriden, then headed over to Hubbard Park in Meriden to take advantage of all those bright yellow daffodils...(something we always do right around her birthday since thats when they bloom!) As you will see she LOVES being in front of the camera!

Broken and Beautiful. Session one.
So I'm finally working on a new project!! Its called "Broken and Beautiful", the general idea is very run down or other wise considered "broken" areas and some beautiful girls modeling in these areas. All of a sudden these locations that would normally be considered an eye sore are now noticed for their hidden beauty. This particular shoot I did ended up having more of a country crossed with high fashion look. The girls were great sports with the blinding sun and crawling through prickers and standing on broken door ledges. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!! Enjoy!

Bethany and Joe's Vow Renewal
On one of the very first hot days of this summer back in may I attended Bethany and Joe's vow renewal. They decided this time to have a catholic ceremony at St. Josephs church in Middletown. We then headed to Fox Meadows in cromwell for the reception. The bride and groom and all their friends were very tollerable about leaving the A/C to go outside into the heat to get some group shots. I had such a great time with this group, they were fun and had such an excellent sense of humor, they made me feel very welcome on their special day! Enjoy!!
It was very important to Bethany to have all the kids in the family in one big fun group photo!
There was cute little traces of their first wedding all over the reception room, this was one of my favorites!
They decided they were also still kids at heart and got the original wedding party on the play scape together!

Mary and Petes Wedding
Back in June I was lucky enough to be able to photograph a beautiful wedding between Mary and Pete Jalbert and the joining of two amazing families! The day started off really overcast, so I quickly met the girls at their home to photograph them before the wedding and the soon expected rain. It worked out in our favor considering there was no squinty blinded eyes from the harsh sun! I then followed them to Jonathan Pasco's Restaurant in East Windsor for the ceremony and reception which was gorgeous. I loved the rustic feel to the place. I could talk forever about how much I enjoyed sharing and capturing this special day with this wonderful family but I think instead Ill just show you a handful of shots from it instead! Enjoy!!

The first dance<3
This was a beautiful moment for Mary and her family, her mother wanted to stand up for a photo with her family after being in a wheel chair from a very recent stroke.
